This course explores new features and apps, including Family Sharing, enhanced notifications, Time-lapse photo mode, group messages with voice and video, and more. The course covers protecting your privacy and troubleshooting your iPad when you encounter a problem.

Mix music

Experiment with the latest software to produce sounds and to mix and record your own tracks. On this introductory course you will be introduced to a variety of applications (Apps) whilst using an I-pad or tablet.

Make movies with your iPad

On this introductory course you will be introduced to a variety of free Apps, including i-Movie and MovieMaker, to produce short movie clips.

Photography and photo editing using an iPad

Photographic editing tips and tricks from our qualified photographer and IT tutor. Whether you’re a professional photographer that likes to travel light or a casual photographer that simply likes the convenience of using the iPad, there are a number of apps for editing photos. Get to grips with using your built-in camera as well as using free editing apps.

Using Welsh Apps

Want to improve your Welsh language skills by using an iPad or tablet? You will be introduced to a variety of Welsh based apps. Discover a wide range of apps that can be used for listening, reading, speaking and translating as well as downloading Welsh books.

Introduction to Social Media

Jump into the world of social media and learn how to make use of the most popular websites to connect with family and friends. Please note that in order to fully participate with this course you will need to have a valid email address and know how to access this account with your personal password. During the workshop you will:

  • be introduced to some of the main social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.

This course is ideal for those who want to use Facebook for social networking but are unsure how to do it. You will learn how to:

Introduction to Photoshop Elements

Learn basic editing skills with Photoshop Elements. Elements are easy to use yet extremely powerful in enhancing and manipulating images.

iMovie

This course will teach you how to create videos using Apple’s iMovie software. Learn how to turn your collections from mobile phones, DSLR cameras or camcorders into a short film.

You will learn:

  • how to animate Photos
  • how to add titles, sound or music
  • how to add and adjust Video Overlay Effects
  • how to apply filters and adjust the speed of your videos to create drama, comedy or add visual interest
  • how to share your movie so they can be played on all your Apple devices
  • how to publish your movies using video sharing platforms like YouTube and Vimeo
